Question: uncirculated 1965 canadian silver dollars

I have been buying uncirculated 1965 canadian silver dollars for the last few weeks for about .40 cents over spot. I am thinking this the best deal in town for buying silver bullion, or is there something I am missing. I mean , why buy bars, rounds, even 90% junk when I can buy these nice shiny rolls that are uncirculated. Anyways, I have all the rest, so I started adding these. Can anyone tell me why I should not buy these and go back to the other stuff.
Thanks in advance

Yup , I know, they are 80% and that in each there is .6 of an ounce. so a roll of 20 gives you 12 ounces. I have been paying like 85 dollars a roll for uncirulated vintage silver dollars. Seems like I should not buy anything else while the price holds up.

Call some coin dealers other than where you purchased them and see what they will PAY for them....I suspect the buyback wiill be pretty brutal....other than Canucks, who wants them???????????? Stick with US and .999.........

The above is from http://www.ajpm.com/htbin/silver.cgi
so if you are buying at $7.87 today, your claim of $.40 over spot, you only have a spread of $.48 with these guys. That's better than the $1.70 they have.

It is a good point you bring up but my thinking is they have to be worth the silver in them no matter what, although I am sure there are sharks that would try and get them for less. And who would want them? well, they already command a premium on Ebay, and I suspect anyone that likes silver and gets a hold of them would find them quite interesting. They really cool, nice looking coins and they are 40 years old. I dont know, but maybe one day they could command a numismatic premium. Case in point would be the fact you could get U.S. silver dollars right from the bank right into the sixties and look what they are worth now. At any rate, I have mostly the usual bullion artifacts like bars and 90%, and this is just a small foray into something different and for me are probably something I would never sell anyways but just pass on to my heirs.
